Thinking like an “Intellectual”- Nationalism

In India at present time there is a clear difference between a person labelled as an “Intellectual” and the other labelled as “Communal”. Don’t get shocked, this is how one is moulded to perceive people who talk on some subjects among which one is “Nationalism”.

Among these two labels I am branded with the “Communal” tag as I can’t think the way an intellectual thinks. If a pig calls my mother a wh*** then I am the one who will punch that guy and break his teeth unlike an intellectual who will call it freedom of speech and would like to  have a discussion on this topic over a cup of tea at ganga dhabha. It is unusual of me to use such examples but then this is exactly the condition of “intellectuals” in India.

In this post I will play the role of an intellectual. U think I can’t? Read below :p

What does an intellectual think about “Nationalism” in India?  I AM AN “INTELLECTUAL” RIGHT NOW.

“Nationalism creates fascism. It makes us see only our bright side that too which is exaggerated. The spirit of nationalism in India is only seen in high caste hindus. The rest of the communities in India which belong to minorities feels threatened with this rise of nationalism. Nationalism should not be parochial which would blind us towards our duties to give safe environment for the other minority communities. This parochial vision of nationalism where we are unable to see our faults can easily turn into fascism which would destroy the interest of other communities which live in India. This increase in nationalism has led to an intolerant environment in India. Actors, students can’t speak their mind as they fear of being thrashed by the so called nationalist. Dissent and free speech like breaking India can be termed as sedition due to this madness of  nationalism.  Let’s this fascism in disguise of nationalism do not spread. We live in global world where we all are global citizens and the boundaries of countries get blurred. So let us broaden our vision and come out of this parochial vision of nationalism which exaggerated our small so called good things and blind us from the darkness that our savage superstitious traditions have still been engulfing us. Let our mind be modern, liberal and intelligent enough to not be swayed by stupid patriotism of the privileged and forget the real issues of poverty, women empowerment, dalit conditons and minority conditions.”

It was easy to write like an intellectual. Credit goes to the intellectuals of HT, TOI and other national newspapers. Nope! I don’t read newspapers. It’s only sometimes by mistake :p
Credit also goes to my pub ad teacher who once said that the concept of India/nationalism is only seen by high caste hindus (I wonder who sacrificed their lives for our country’s freedom?). It’s not his fault as he has been indoctrinated by his JNU commie professors. Also credit goes to Presentation Convent School, Jammu teacher who set a comprehension for 6th or 5th class english paper where she wanted students to link communities when we talk about nationalism. It was a new thing for me and at the same time shocking.

Now I would like to end this post with my “communal” concept of Nationalism. This is for all my readers to imbibe in you and give this teaching to your students and children. When darkness is seen as light and light is taken as darkness that’s when  the times are called Kaliyuga.

“Nationalism/Patriotism is the feeling that one exclusively shares for his/her motherland. It’s one of the personal bond which one shares with his mother and God. Motherland is the land which never changes like the kings. It cannot be amended like the constitution. It can’t be sold for few pieces of silver. We Indians unlike the rest of the countries calls our land as Motherland as  like a mother she nurtures her kids. Gratitude is the seed sown in the heart of a noble man. The ungrateful  like many of our so called NCERT heroes,  will sell their motherland to the whorehouse for some pieces of silver. Such men have no place in the Indian society and Indians will remain intolerant to these ungrateful greedy people. India is the special land whose children have never made other nations their colonies but rather have given throughout time. Don’t consider what stupid commie professors have to say on this. The love for the motherland unites every sons of the soil from any external or internal threat. The mind which relates nationalism to a community will never be able to protect his motherland. BEWARE! Don’t get brainwashed just to gain the title of an “Intellectual”.  Remember it’s kaliyuga. Here a crow will eat pearl and swan will eat stones. In your greed of pearl don’t become a crow.”

Below the ancient Indian shloka which I say when I wake up:-

कराग्रे वसते लक्ष्मिः करमध्ये सरस्वति
करमूले तु गोविन्दः प्रभाते करदर्शनम्
Karaagre Vasate Lakssmih Karamadhye Sarasvati |
Karamuule Tu Govindah Prabhaate Karadarshanam ||

1: At the Top of the Hand (i.e. Palm) Dwell Devi Lakshmi and at the Middle of the Hand Dwell Devi Saraswati,
2: At the Base of the Hand Dwell Sri Govinda; Therefore one should Look at one’s Hands in the Early Morning and contemplate on Them.

And this is ancient Indian shloka before I place my feet on the floor:-

समुद्रवसने देवि पर्वतस्तनमण्डले
विष्णुपत्नि नमस्तुभ्यं पादस्पर्शं क्षमस्वमे
Samudra-Vasane Devi Parvata-Stana-Mannddale |
Vissnnu-Patni Namas-Tubhyam Paada-Sparsham Kssamasva-Me ||

1: (Oh Mother Earth) The Devi Who is having Ocean as Her Garments and Mountains as Her Bosom,
2: Who is the Consort of Sri Vishnu, I Bow to You; Please Forgive me for Touching You with my Feet.

When “Intellectuals” call ancient India the land of savages  it clearly shows that the word “Ignorant” has been replaced by “Intellectual”. Ending with few lines:-

यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत ।
अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम् ॥४-७॥
“Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya
Glanirva Bhavathi Bharatha,
Abhyuthanam Adharmaysya
Tadatmanam Srijami Aham’.
“Whenever there is decay of righteousness O! Bharatha
And a rise of unrighteousness then I manifest Myself!”
परित्राणाय साधूनां विनाशाय च दुष्कृताम् ।
धर्मसंस्थापनार्थाय सम्भवामि युगे युगे ॥४-८॥
Praritranaya Sadhunam
Vinashaya Cha Dushkritam
Sambhavami Yuge-Yuge.”“For the protection of the good, for the destruction of the wicked and for the establishment of righteousness, I am born in every age.”

Stay happy, stay  blessed 🙂

    Nice sis.
    I tend to lose hope.
I tend not to show my mistrust.
But I know the path is not easy.
The dignity that I live with,
    Is hard earned.
We need sons to lay their livea.
We need mothers to smile on divine sacrifice.
For the land that keeps us alive.
( sacchi me example esa mat use kia karo)
